From abc News, on Sept 23, 2011, Kim Delaney, the celebrity of “Army Wives” was kicked off stage at the Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center on Thursday night after delivering an unsuitable and incomprehensible speech at the Liberty Medal Award presentation to former defense secretary Robert Gates.

At the beginning, Delaney tripped to the podium and twisted her hands as she was talking about having “served in active military duty family for five years.” “I’ve seen soldiers come home with painful life altering injuries borne of their time and service,” she said in slur. She even lied saying “I’ve attended numerous military funerals, including that of my best friend’s son.”
Later Delaney said, “It’s all make believe. I do that as a job. It’s make believe,” She tried to explain her speech for nearly two minutes, “I have the luxury to do all of this on a television show.”
Delaney, age 49, had issues with constituent abuse. In 2002, she was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving after she refused to take a Breathalyzer test. And she was believed rehab for alcohol addiction twice. Therefore, I supposed, Delaney may had took some drugs before she went on stage, which caused her to make such an unusual speech.
